Gavin & Stacey’s “emotional” shoot

SPOILERS: UK comedy Gavin and Stacey recently finished filming on its third and final series.
Ruth Jones, who co-wrote and played Nessa Jenkins, said, “It sounds silly I know, but it’s been a big part of our lives for the last three years. It was very emotional filming at the end. Even from day one we all had this sad feeling about it all ending.
“In the final week, me and Jo Page just couldn’t stop crying. We were pathetic and we looked like frogs. And on the last day me and James were awash.
“But, you know, things have to move on. I like to think that we dipped into the lives of Gavin and Stacey and their family and friends for a couple of years, and now it’s time to dip out again and let them get on with it.”
In the third series, to air in the UK later this month, Gavin starts his new job, a move to Barry Island means big changes for the whole family. Pam and Mick have to adjust to an empty nest while Gwen’s got a full house again.
In Australia the second series has already aired on UK TV and is repeated on BBC HD.
It will also air on ABC2 in January.

I thought it was coming to 7TWO as it was advertised in their pdf thing.
You had me confused with Ned and Stacey for a second… Still filming, what?! hehe
Love G&S, and can’t wait for its return on BBC1 on the 29th of this month. Yes, it is the final series, but interestingly enough Ruth Jones hasn’t ruled out more series later on down the track. They had originally also said they wouldn’t be doing a third series after their Christmas episode last year, so who knows? It has enough legs I think to do more, since each series only has six or seven episodes.
I really like Gavin and Stacey it is a hilarious show..
Sad to see it finish after 3 years – it really should have been played in full by Seven before it got the cut.. although I look forward to watching it on UKTV and BBC HD on Foxtel. Going to London next month, so I might be able to catch some episodes of the new season before they commence here in Australia. I believe Gavin and Stacey will also air on 7TWO?
