Shane Jacobson heading to Nine next year?
That’s the whisper TV Tonight hears, as the Kenny star prepares to appear in the Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of the musical The Drowsy Chaperone.
Jacobson is likely to front a new eight part series at TCN9, recorded in front of a studio audience.
Whilst Kenny’s World already screened on TEN, there are no guarantees he would revive the lovable plumber at Nine.
Both Shane and brother Clayton already have a relationship with Ninemsn due to their Mordy Koots webisode series.

Bold, fearless prediction: Nein will team him up with Warnie and Glenn Ridge when they totally butcher, rape and defile Top Gear Australia.
@vid. Respect the networks!!! Thank you for putting a smile on my face first thing in the morning. Respect is given from when I get it. It’s a faceless corporation which does not deserve my respect.
I think TheUglyBaby’s comment was spot on, and am wishing I got here first to say it.
He – or rather, the character everyone knows him for – fits perfectly into the Nine cookie-cutter: broad, coarse, simple and bogan. Actually, that sums up Nine perfectly these days.
@TheUglyBaby…. that comment was pointless! what happen to if u havent got anything nice to say don’t say it all?? please respect the networks!
He already has experience working with s**t, perfect fit.
i didn’t find kenny funny. but shane is a real talent in live situations, he was very good hosting the morning show a few months back.
Good on him for continuing to get work, he’s really quite a talented chap.
Another reason not to watch nine!
haha, Kenny was pretty funny, wonder what nine will do
