Yes, it’s back.

Lost returns to air on 7TWO on Wednesday February 10th, fastracked just a week after its return in the US.

The show returns with a two hour season premiere at 9:30pm, preceded by the special Lost: The Final Chapter at 8:30pm.

Hold on for the ride of your lives….

Updated: Part 1 will also air on Seven at 11:30pm.

And while we’re on the subject, check out these cool clips of Lost stars in other shows and ads earlier in their careers.

  1. Hmmm. You know, I probably would have watched it on 7, but doing so would signal my support for a company which clearly has no respect for my rights, judging by the ridiculous lawsuit they have launched against iNet (and by extention anyone who uses the internet for purposes they don’t approve of). Therefore, I think I’ll have to give it a pass.

  2. It astonishes me why they couldn’t do it a week earlier. I’ve said it before. With a show with an active fanbase and so much information which is absorbed and given out when watched, it’s unacceptable for a viewer like me to be even 1 episode behind the US. I hope Seven catch up with another double the week after, but I doubt it.

  3. I am surprised how impatient some people are. One week behind is far, far better than when the show first started. During it’s first three seasons, Lost was aired here a number of months behind the US. To “mikeys”, how is fast-tracked a stretch? It is much earlier behind it’s US airing than the vast majority of other shows on 7 and other channels.

We should be extremely pleased that Lost is now airing in a primetime slot again, the premiere is being shown in it’s full 3-hour-long glory, including recap (which is a rare move for 7), And it is only a week behind the US.

Stop complaining and be happy with what you’ve got, it is very much an enormous improvement on 7’s part…i can’t believe people can still find reasons to complain. If 7TWO hadn’t come along, imagine what would have happened to Lost then.

  4. i’m pleased with the 1 week turnaround, plenty good enough for me. i’m also surprised they are showing it on 7 as well so soon, now i’m not sure which one i’ll record, the earlier timeslot on 7two or the better bitrate on 7. they are treating lost quite well this season.

  5. A week later. Season 6 starts February 2nd in America, which is Wednesday our time. Yet they still are airing it a week later, and are screening a repeated movie on the 3rd. Why cant they just air it a few hours after the US.

I dont get it, they can easily screen it on the 3rd, and have it just a few hours after the US, oh well they still wont stop people downloading.

  6. Spoiler: Stay away from Benjamin Linus!! 😀

Fast tracked is a stretch… Perhaps Seven have a dial-up connection or something to be airing it 8 days later…? Either way, it’s going to be one helluva season!

  7. David, a Lostie.. I shoulda known. The man definitely has taste!

I’ll jump on the anti-Shaun bandwagon for a second. Lost doesn’t just refer to the fact that they crashed on an Island and didn’t know where they are, y’know.

  8. A week is terrific and better than last year, but it’s still a shame that Seven missed a golden opportunity. Thanks to the freedom of the 7TWO schedule and Lost’s new US spot on Tuesdays, they could have fasttracked Lost within 24 hours, premiere it on February 3rd, and finally confound the justification for downloading one of the most popular downloaded shows.

If the SciFi Channel managed to broadcast Battlestar this year the night after American broadcast, I wonder why the same couldn’t be done for Lost, at a time when Seven were finally in a position to. Surely they can think enough outside of the box to premiere this season a week before ratings season begins. They are after all no doubt interested in bringing back viewers who are literally going outside the box to download illegally.

Any ideas on why this couldn’t be done? One week is still pretty good though, I’ll admit. But not so much in this day and age.

  9. me too shaun. If you dont watch it,you cant really knock it.

Does anyone know where I can catch up on the last 3-4 episodes of the last season? I had them recorded on my HDD recorder, but Someone deleted them one afternoon while making space.

Anyone? Plz dont make me have to catch up by reading epsiode guides on wikipedia lol

  10. @shaun: they left the island in two whole seasons ago, back in season 4. In fact we saw two of the characters off the island at the end of season three.

But I guess the fact that you say you’ve never watched the show would explain your out-dated question.

  11. I watch it looking forward to it! Yipee! But why on wednesday nights? Its got the same target audience as criminal minds. Seven are not very smart at programming their shows this year? I think its going to be a bad year for 7 as they are not using their digital channel to full use.

  12. I am looking foward to the day (very very far away) when shows don’t have to rely on broadcast figures to be given a run. With digital delivery and box set sales, one day they’ll be a surplus of exciting series whcih can be given time to grow and mature without stupid ratings.

lost might not scare off the skeptics with its first season, but as a slow-burner its well worth it.

  13. That isn’t good enough for what little loyal Aus viewers are still into the show who’ll use other means to see it (the show was only attracting a measly 200 000 viewers when 7 last screened it). They should screen each episode on 7TWO within 12 – 24 hours after it’s aired in North America.

  14. “I’ve never watched this garbage”. Can I ask very politely Shaun, then how the hell are you in any position to pass judgement on it? This sort of blanket, uninformed dismissal of a show completely puzzles me. It seems to say a lot more about the person who makes the judgement than it does about the show they are dissing. As someone who has watched “Lost” religiously from the word go and has been totally absorbed throughout, I can only say that the show has given me some of the greatest viewing pleasure I have ever had from a commercial network drama. And I await it’s continuation and conclusion with bated breath. I don’t ask you to share my taste Shaun, I simply suggest that you sound rather foolish when you make the sort of comment below based on nothing but some form of tele-misanthropy.

  15. Firstly settle down Shaun.
You should go back to watching Packed to the Rafters.

I’d really call “Fast Tracked’ within a week of US screening. Spoilers and massive (which there will be) storyline jumps will be impossible not to read about on the internet and this means people will probably seek other ways to take in the splendor that will be Lost Season 6. Bring it on.

  16. Why couldn’t they just fast track the “why the heck are these sorry losers still on on a stupid island 5 years after it premiered on TV” Question!! I’ve never watched this garbage, just reading the title “Lost” is enough for me to understand whats going on. How in God’s name has this show been able to last this long? for goodness sake Who watches this Crap!!
