Lost season premiere leaked

Updated: Lost's season premiere has been leaked in its entirety after a public screening in Hawaii but fans are refusing to watch it.

Lost‘s season premiere has been leaked, this time in its entirety, online.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that ABC hosted a free screening of the Lost sixth-season premiere on the beach in Oahu, Hawaii on the weekend and about 12,000 fans showed up.

Since then the episode has been popping up on YouTube with crudely filmed footage from phones, leaving ABC’s legal department to play ‘whack-a-mole’ in trying to take down the videos.

The season returns to the US in around 24 hours time and airs legally in Australia next Wednesday night on 7TWO at 9:30pm and 11:0pm on Seven.

Updated: Devoted fans are said to be refusing to watch the show online, preferring to wait for the real deal. Many YouTube videos only received a few hundred hits as online fans registered their disinterest in crummy bootlegs.

  1. Seriously who, here in Australia, watches Lost on 7. Probably one of the greatest television shows and & have snubbed it for the last 3 seasons. Putting it on at ridiculous times, not bothering to even promote it on 7. I watched the last season’s finale and they didn’t even bother to wait to show the Lost title card in black on the white background after the bomb detonates.

  2. I’m joining the throngs who refuse to watch anything other than the real deal. Why bother with crude mobile phone recordings when you can just wait a few days?

  3. This marks stay-away-from-Internet season for me. I don’t want to see, or know of any spoilers. The first ep will be the biggest surprise in TVs recent history.

  4. @Jimmy – nothing will be cut by ch7 from Lost it’s a double ep premier so around 85-90 mins without ads.

I doubt they will air any promo not released by ABC in the US.

I did notice that a copy of the re-cap (which aired in Canada yesterday on CTV) was just release, 2 days ahead of the US. Should be a nice way to catch up events so far when it aires on Seven in just over a week.

  5. hopefully 7 will be allowed to cut together some ads using new footage then since the cat is out of the bag, although maybe it is better to not see anything until you are actually watching the episode to avoid spoilers.
