Toni Collette won both the Emmy and Golden Globe for this series, but was pipped by Tina Fey at the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards.

Uh… is it just me or were some of those clips from season 1????
Ahhh can’t wait! Though it probably won’t be till September or something.
And who cares about the SAG awards, Emmys are the ones that count.

David, have ABC confirmed that they are airing season 2?
Haven’t seen any returning international titles confirmed, but I would be very surprised if it didn’t.
The wait would be a lot more bearable if they’d release the DVD locally. -.-

Great show and Toni got what she deserved for years of good work, not just in this but in everything she has ever done. I’m glad “gimme” hasn’t been made a main “alter”, gimme was a sharp, short, shock character only

As much as i would have loved to see Toni win the SAG – it didn’t surprise me – the Screen Actors Guild are purer when it comes to classifications and genres. Tara is hardly a comedy – but the Emmy’s and GG’S insist on it being represented in the comedy categories. It may of course be Showtime insisting on that – either way it feels odd pitting Tina Fey’s screwball style against Toni’s complex characterisation(s). Looking forward to series 2 – but it is tough viewing
