Katherine Heigl leaving Grey’s Anatomy?

This one has been on the cards for longer than any of us care to remember.
But E! Online is reporting that Katherine Heigl will finally exit Grey’s Anatomy.
According to insiders, Heigl has been asking to leave for close to three years now, and she finally got what she wanted last week when boss Shonda Rhimes and ABC execs agreed to let her out of her contract.
She was scheduled to return to the set two weeks ago, after taking maternity leave with her newly adopted daughter and also shooting a movie. However, she has not been back. There is some speculation that she may not return at all. It also hasn’t been decided yet if it will be left open for her character to return.
With Heigl wanting to pursue feature films, the mood on set wasn’t always at its peak.
According to one source, Heigl’s “calls weren’t returned” when she phoned in asking when to report back. Charming!

This woman has complained about everything and about this show. This show made her a star and paid her $18 million a year, for several years.
So, she can go…who cares. Maybe she will shut her mouth.
I haven’t watch GA in months, might need to catch up on it if Katherine is leaving.
I’m happy to see Heigl leave Gray’s, her character has been particularly boring the last 2 seasons. However she’s been surprisingly good in the Movies she’s done.
Just let her leave and get on with the show!! Although this saga seems to be attracting more interest than the show itself (says something really!)!!!!
She’s been causing headaches everywhere on the show and I haven’t missed her at all since she’s been gone; I like Katherine but if she doesn’t want to be there let her go; Greys is an ensemble show it doesn’t depend on one character.
