The third series of acclaimed US cable drama Breaking Bad starring Bryan Cranston returns to Showcase next month.
It will air just 3.5 weeks after its US premiere, which takes place this weekend.
Walt an unrepentant ‘everyman’ who has embraced his kingpin alter ego “Heisenberg” – continues to battle dueling identities: A desperate husband and father trying to provide for his family, and a newly appointed key player in the Albuquerque drug trade.
As the danger around him escalates, Walt is now entrenched in the complex worlds of an angst-ridden family on the verge of dissolution, and the ruthless and unrelenting drug cartel.
In the first episode, Walt copes with the aftermath of the plane crash and Skyler’s anger, and Jesse comes to a new realisation about himself. A new adversary tracks the elusive Heisenberg, Walter White’s kingpin alter ego. Skyler seeks advice on the state of her marriage and confronts Walt.
It premieres at 8:30pm Wednesday April 14th.

I stand corrected about the ads. But I still won’t pay for my TV…
@AndrewM
No ads on all of the Pay- TV Movie channels(including Showcase).
Yes no ads during programs on Showcase and can’t wait for this to return!
AndrewM you’ll be waiting over a year before the news season is on ABC2.
I think Showcase runs programs ad-free AndrewM 😛
@Rutzie ,
couldn’t of said it better myself(re season 5 of dexter and showcase), hopefully it will appear alot quicker than season 4 did.
What is Showcase..? Pay TV? Nah, I don’t pay for my ads. I’ll wait for BB on ABC2 or if that’s too long I’ll buy the DVDs.
ABC2 plans to put season 2 on in September. If you can’t wait that long go to your DVD store and hire it. Have done that the last 2 weekends and it was worth it.
Easily the best show on TV since The Wire finished, good to see it isn’t delayed for months like Showcase normally is.
Could someone please find out if/when ABC2 has plans to return the second season
Great news. Can’t wait for the third season. Let’s hope they decide to do the same thing with the next series of Dexter.
