Comedy series 10 Things I Hate About You has been cancelled by ABC Family.
The spin-off from the movie will finish out its second season run.
Executive producer Carter Covington announced the show’s fate on Twitter: “Sad news,” he wrote. “ABCFamily canceled the show 🙁 Thanks 2 our AMAZING fans – U R the reason I do this! Enjoy the last 5 eps – they’re fantastic!”
Two weeks ago he started tweeting that the show needed all the fan support it could get.
The show was based off a 1999 movie with the same title. Its 2009 premiere set a then-record in the US for the for a half-hour comedy on the network.
In rather unfortunate timing the series premieres on FOX8 7:30pm this Sunday night.

What a shame, peaked my interest, will watch its run on FOX8.
Still, it could never top the movie
I’d not heard of this before I saw the ads on Fox8. I was looking forward to watching, as it seemed pretty good from what I saw! Shame about the axing. I’m sure its a good show and I’ll probably tune in, but I feel like I don’t want to watch now that I know that isn’t going anywhere…
I seriously hate TV at the moment. 10 Things is a great show. Gah!!
The CW should pick this up they have no half hour comedys and i think it would do well with there target audience. They wont cos its produced by disney.
omg not another great show ='( why is it that the good ones get axed but the shit ones go for years longer =(
This really suck. I’ve really enjoyed the lighthearted family comedy.
Don’t take the axe as a sign, the show is quite good as I said well worth checking out.
Fox really knows how to back a winner.
I like the show, it fun and has some great moments. 20 eps well worth checking out on Fox8.
