American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert returns to the show tonight as the first former contestant to mentor singers.
The theme for the week is ‘Elvis Presley songs’ which make him a bit of an odd fit, really….
Two singers from the Top 9 will end up being eliminated tomorrow night after the judges used their only season ‘save’ to rescue Michael Lynche from going home.
It airs 7:30pm tonight and tomorrow on FOX8.

Adam Lambert certainly made American Idol worth watching last week.
He did better than I expected, although I would have preferred one of the more popular Idols (like Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood) to mentor.
He so should have won last year! He is a great performer.
pffft.
Really good epsiode! You have got to love Adam and everything he did for the show last year – so awesome to see him back.
I agree Craig H, that was pretty funny 😀
Love Adam..he looks fantastic too! quote of the week for me would have to be, Ryan Seacrest saying to him “..yeah, but your tounge is more talented than mine” …lol
