May 26 is now shaping up as a very big night of television all round.
Nine has the first State of Origin, which will no doubt win the night (Hey Hey is off for the night).
Seven has the fan-frenzied Lost finale.
TEN has just extended MasterChef out to 90 minutes -on the night when its off-site team challenges have been scoring with viewers. It will surely be strong in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. That pushes Lie to Me out to 9pm and Law and Order: CI to10pm.
It’s even a big night over in Pay TV with the penultimate episode of American Idol. The final two singers will sing off for votes, with the winner announced the night after, May 27th.
Which way will you be going?

@Earthquake, man i dont care if Lost comes distant third. i prefer quality over ratings.

c’est Origin pour moi!
Masterchef or ill b doin homework..
oops forgot to say that i think it will be
1sr state of origin
2nd masterchef
3rd lost
i love MC but will be taping that and watching state of origin Go the Blues.
I’ll be watching American Idol as i have all season,
Putting Masterchef against State of Origin is Channel Suicide by Ch10. If they were smart that would put it on at an earlier time due to the Origin!
Alan I am someone and I care. David I would be lost without my PVR, pardon the pun.
Couldn’t care about SOO although I reckon it’ll come 1st. With no Hey Hey I’ll be watching MC instead of taping it.
MasterChef will probably rate slightly lower than the State of Origin.
Lucky 4 me i have my topfield pvr and MyStar pvr…so all bases are covered…..including Idol @ alan – some excellent singers this year
But will watch SOO live.
Lost FTW!
Rugby is boring.
Masterchef is lame.
Lost should be epic……..I hope.
Lost
I will be watching MasterChef then State of Origin. Remember last year when the 90-minute Hong Kong Super Challenge special outrated the first 30 minutes of an Origin match? I think it will happen again this year, but not for the Origin opener.
MasterChef. Duh.
Lost & Masterchef. Will State of Origin be live in Adelaide?? If not i can do all three.
Sorry Masterchef.
Watching State of Origin and recording the Lost Finale (even though I’ll probably spoil myself before Wednesday night).
finally the networks are putting on some decent programs against origin
Alan: I think i read the AI is Foxtels most watch show. Its been pretty lame this year though.
Lost
SoO 4 me
I’ll be watching Origin.
I reckon Origin will come 1st nationwide, 2nd in the southern capitals. Masterchef will come 2nd, but 1st in the southern capitals. Lost a distant 3rd.
no one cares about American Idol anymore David.
