  1. I was wondering about Whose Line on the list as well. A local or O/S version? A local version with the right host and cast would be great.

Gotta see more TGYH either end of this year or start of next at least. I’m happy for them to take a break, but don’t cancel it yet.

  2. I’ve seen the first episode of Modern Family and it was far better than i was expecting. I don’t often laugh out loud at a tv show i’m watching by myself but couldn’t help it with this one. I just hope the audience catches on to the smart comedy

  3. Guys don’t be too concerned that we aren’t getting anything new (or good). Channel 9 are about to start a massive new series of everyone’s favourite TV show ‘Two and a Half Men’. Isn’t that great!?!?! Guys?!? Guys??! Oh….

  4. @Ronnie: or maybe they just wanted CH and PTTR as 2nd half shows to fill the gaps when the US shows finish. you can’t air every singe show the network has in Feb. got nothing to do with confidence or lack of.

@Aaa: you think ten will air The Deep End and Melrose Place? you must really hate ten.

  5. @ronnie- I dont know about City Homicide but Rafters only started filming season 3 in feb. I am sure Seven knows that it will pull big figures and would rather run it for 22 weeks straight rather than having massive breaks in between.

Thats a long list from Nine. Some sound like they could be successful. Others not so much. Seven only has two new shows- i think that might change in 2011.

  6. Tim Worner at Seven had squandered the ratings bedrock that is News/TT/H&A by being too tame to programme PTTR and CH in the first half of 2010. If you don’t have confidence in their ability to win their slots why commission them?
And when do we get to see new episodes of RocKwiz? What is going on at SBS? (not much new commissioning that’s for sure).

  7. from 7: i really hope TVburp and TGYH return. i know 7 have said they were interested in giving tvburp another chance for a while but i’ve been sceptical ever since. Beyond the Darkland was pretty good too but doesn’t seem to be returning.

also probably you can add to 7’s list : Jamie Durie mystery show and How The Other Half Live Australia. 7 have also recently picked up the local rights to Hoarders but not sure if it will make it all the way.

  8. Hurry up with Rafters, City Homicide and Rush. 3 of the best Aussie shows and none on at the moment. Seven should put BH&G on Tuesday before Rafters, it would get a whopping audience. And team City Homicide up with Criminal Minds.

Nine’s shows, yeah nah. Gyton Grantley, no thanks, factuals no thanks, drugs, crime, serial killers, no thanks.

  9. Whatever happened to an SBS series called TI Taxi that was filmed on Thursday Island? I remember the casting calls back in 2008 but don’t remember them ever screening it?

  10. so many factuals from 9. they are also running promos for The Best Busts, RBT: random breath tests, and Australian Druglords.
looks like a pretty dry post masterchef schedule for ten, i think they have confirmed production on undercover boss though which i think will do well.

and what’s the go with this hawke telemovie and its eternal producion phase? it’s been almost a year since it was announced and still no sign of it coming. other networks can have a turnover of a few months. not complaining, just wondering what held them up?

  11. Flashpoint? Nine’s gonna try it again huh? It seemed pretty decent, but if Nine hadn’t d*cked around with the episode order it would have been even better.

And Dexter! Yay! Was just thinking about that the other day – possibly my favourite TV show.

  12. Don’t forget Seven and Ten will share the AFL finals series this year, with Seven having the rights to the AFL Grand Final and Ten the Brownlow Medal Count.

  13. Modern Family is due to premiere very soon, Junior MasterChef will probably start after the conclusion of the current series. Still no word of new Simpsons? There’s only about 3 episodes left of the current season in the US.
I don’t think there is any Idol this year due to the Commonwealth Games.

  14. Damn right TEN focused on select highlights… Where the hell is Supernatural, which would be a highlight if u didnt keep treating it like crap
