Australia’s Got Talent judge Brian McFadden will relocate to America to try his luck in the music industry, with fiancee Delta Goodrem.
McFadden, who previously hosted two series of Football Superstar for FOX8 has now said, “I’ve never really been interested in TV.
“It’s not really my thing. Being on stage and singing is the passion and that’s what I want to do.”
That’s vastly different from what he said when he was announced as part of the Australia’s Got Talent judging panel: “I am beyond excited to be joining Channel 7 and Australia’s Got Talent – I have always been a massive fan of the show and am looking forward to sitting alongside my respected friends and peers Dannii and Kyle.”
McFadden is understood to have been coaxed onto the show by good friend and co-judge Kyle Sandilands.
Now he has been encouraged to work in the US after his record company Universal heard his song “Just Say So.”
McFadden is known for his outbursts including during the current AGT season when he told one contestant, Anne Ferguson-Howe, to “f*** off back to England.”
Tonight he appears in Part One of the show’s Grand Final, which concludes next week.

No need to write…. Or come back.
He’s had one number 1 in Australia, now he thinks he should go for the big league. I don’t think so mate.
Funny how his all over Aus and now the US, don’t they want him back home either? He’s been an arogant so and so on AGT, glad to see the back of him.
RE: his quote about channel 7, he said on his interview with hamish and andy had he had never said that, and had never watched a channel 7 show before 😉
Having said that, I don’t really care either way ;P I don’t watch his shows, and I don’t listen to his music ;P
Good riddance – and take both your bloody horrible show and your horrific vocodered music with you.
I would like to wish Brian the best of luck in the US. He is a great talent and I really love his songs.
He is delusional if he thinks he is talented enough to make it in the US. I really don’t know what Delta sees in him.
Ah well goodbye and good riddance.
@JB – i noticed this too. seems if you live here long enough & do moderately well with a single, they just list you as such.
Just letting you know that he actually said on a radio station interview that the quote (below) was made up by channel 7. He said he had never watched Australia’s Got Talent before.
“I am beyond excited to be joining Channel 7 and Australia’s Got Talent – I have always been a massive fan of the show and am looking forward to sitting alongside my respected friends and peers Dannii and Kyle.”
Brian is a great singer. I love his album ‘Wall of Soundz’. It is amazing.
And if Australia did like him his single ‘Just say so’ would not have reached #1 so that says we like him.
Delta deserves the success in America and so does Brian. They can be a new power couple and rival Tom and Katie
Brett: I agree. 7Two would be the perfect home, of either, Britain’s Got Talent or America’s Got Talent.
Good riddance. He can stay there. And can someone tell me why ARIA has him down as an Australian artist on the charts? He’s bloody Irish.
Best news in a long while.
woohoo, glad to see him leave, he is so annoying.
Great news, could Kyle go with him?
Hopefully he books a one-way ticket.
I think he has been brilliant on AGT, him and Kyle, the show has really stepped up. I wonder if the final will be like BGT, watched that last night it was really great.
Would there be any chance an Australian TV channel would should BGT? Maybe 72?
Brilliant news when does he leave??
Good riddance!
This is the best news of the year so far. Good riddance.
B’ bye. Don’t let the door hit you on the bum on the way out.
Can we lock the “door” to the country so that he can’t come back ?
There is a God… goodbye…..
So he’s f***ing off to the US?
