Rob Sitch as George Calombaris

What would you get if you crossed MasterChef's George Calombaris with the FIFA World Cup?

Rob Sitch made a brief return to TV this week under another guise….

Sitch appeared on Santo, Sam and Ed’s Cup Fever, produced by Working Dog, for SBS ONE.

But the cameo was as MasterChef’s George Calombaris rallying for Greece at the World Cup.

The show continues at 10pm tonight on SBS ONE.

  1. Unfortunately missed this sketch, but have to say I’m loving Santo Sam and Ed’s show. Love Kim Jong il. “You like big spectacle?” lol.

  2. This show has been great, but the only downside is it remnids me that great shows such as The Panel, The Late Show, TV Burp etc. aren’t on our screens any more.

  3. Oh, I missed that skit! But the Maradona one was Gooooooold. I reckon they should turn this into a regular show, a skit-type The Fat or something. I’m really enjoying it.

  4. You can always pick the fans from the non-fans of The Late Show et al amongst the comments… Sitch’s impersonations are not about being spot on dead perfect.

Can we have The Panel back yet please?

  5. Just Rob Sitch’s attempt to impersonate George Calombaris was hilarious, even if it wasn’t a mostly accurate portrayal. Santo’s Maradona impersonation last night was also hilarious.

  6. haha, that got a few laughs out of me. Love working dog’s projects. I can’t wait till Hollowmen returns to the screens. Please make it longer than 6 eps tho. A 12 part series would be nice!
