Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards recently sold out its annual slime-fest, to be held at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on October 8th.
“In Australia, Kids’ Choice Awards has become a coveted event for kids to attend, as well as a high-rating ‘TV event’ for Nickelodeon – there’s nothing else quite like it in this country. The quality of entertainment at last year’s show in Melbourne took it to a whole new level, so we’re looking forward to delivering the same scale of excitement back in Sydney this year,” said Nickelodeon’s Alison Bakunowich.
To get viewers pumped, there will be a series of shows hosted by Luke and Wyatt designed to give kids the choice of everything from deciding the pranks that Wyatt has to complete on the orange carpet, to what they will wear and how they are going to get there.
Past and future KCA celebs will join Luke and Wyatt on Kids’ Choice TV, including Australia’s Got Talent winners, Justice Crew; Channel V’s Kyle Linahan and last year’s Kids’ Choice Awards co-hosts, Joel and Benji Madden are tipped to make an appearance.
Each episode will be packed to the brim with stunts, skits and hilarious segments and the kids are the ones in control. From segments like “Make Luke Puke”, where Wyatt gets a member of the kid studio audience to help him design a dish that will make Luke puke – to “Stupid World Records”, where kids will decide what lame world records Luke and Wyatt will attempt. Kids will get to test their smarts against Wyatt in “Win It From Wyatt”, and with each question answered correctly the kids can choose which of Wyatt’s belongings they would like to win! Plus, The Awkward Turtles from Camp Orange: Castle Mountain will visit to battle it out against Luke and Wyatt each week, in the extreme and just a little uncomfortable “Awkward Challenge”.
Kids’ Choice TV is set to get kids hyped for the biggest kids’ event of the year, the Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The KCAs is the only televised award show in Australia that grants kids the power to vote for their favourites and gives both the kids and the stars “the slime of their lives!”
It airs Fridays at 6.20pm from Friday September 10 – Friday October 1 on Nickelodeon.
