Randy Jackson, who told the crowd, “We found some unbelievable talent and I am calling season 10 the remix, baby!”

Aerosmith’s Tyler said, “[It] feels like the perfect feathered nest.

“It’s being a part of something much bigger than yourself. I want to bring some rock to this roller coaster.”

Lopez added, “I love you guys. I am so excited.

“It is about concentrating in the moment, do the best you can. Just live! Just live, it’s your moment.”

The upcoming season also includes a new in-house mentor, returning executive producer Nigel Lythgoe and new music partner, Universal.

Producers also said there are no plans for guest judges, no guest mentoring and contestants allowed to remain in their chosen genre. Singers will also be asked to move a lot more on stage.

  1. I respectfully disagree, Todd. X factor is more about ego, and little about breaking new talent. Without Cowell, Idol may be more about singing and performing. There is no doubt anything that Cowell brings to America will work, for a while at least. X factor could be more interesting, but i frankly couldn’t care about the mentor and their competition.

  2. Singers will also be asked to move a lot more on stage. hahaha. Love it. Last season was a little boring, most just stood in the middle of the stage and sung.

It will be interesting to see the battle between Idol and The X Factor in the US next year.
