Returning: Hey Hey it’s Saturday

Look out. Date and time are now confirmed.

Hey Hey it’s Saturday’s return date is now confirmed:

7:30pm Saturday October 16th for 2 hours.

Hey Hey is back! Back on a Saturday! Join Daryl and Livina with Ossie Ostrich, Red Symons, Russell Gilbert, Wilbur Wilde and Plucka Duck. They are joined each week by international and local guest stars and performers.

Would all lovers and haters please group in an orderly fashion on opposite sides of the room?

Thankyou.

  1. This is another show which should be given its marching orders! With less than spectacular ratings this show is so badly dated, hovering in “the mid 90’s”. I find Daryl so irritating…he never lets the guests speak and constantly says “we’re running out of time in this segment” (!!!)…well Daryl put less segments in!! It will be very interesting to see what the ratings are like when it returns to Saturday nights. Well Daryl this is your last chance at mediocre stardom! Don’t blow it!! (sorry the crystal ball tells me you’ve blown it!!)

  2. @Matt F – those were the days! Hey Hey then flick it over to Birds of a Feather (still remember the ending titles with the kids running), in anticipation of The Late Show.

  3. Isnt the only reason its now on Saturday night is there is no footy to compete with it.

I loved it when it was originally on. But cant watch it now. Was Daryl Somers so over the top cheesy back then as he is now????
This show is so cheesy you need crackers to watch it

  4. @ micheal. Will channel 7 put their version of iron chef on saturdays?
Not only will it be up against hey hey. It will also be up against the original version of the show.

  5. moving Hey Hey to Saturday was a good idea but unless the format or look is relaunched I don’t think it will continue next year. Don’t get me wrong I think variety is what we need on TV right now but without changing the structure of the show Nine risk a simillar problem to 1999.

Good Luck to both Nine and Daryl

  6. Here’s hoping that it stays this way. I’m more favorable to the 7.30 time slot, I was always home at about 7pm when it was originally on, and I always felt like I’d missed out on some of the jokes!

    On ya, Nine!

  7. Well done Nine! You finally get how We spoke and you listened. I wonder if the ratings will be a hit or a miss. Lets hope it does well and is well publicized. Unlike GEM.

  8. Yeah, it’s disappointing that it won’t start at 6:30. But having it at 7:30 means that it is more likely that I will sit through Funniest Home Videos before Hey Hey.

  9. Hey Hey its Saturday on Wednesday returning to an all new timelsot on Saturday October 16 for an epic two hour must see two hour event packed with fun and laughter from your home of entertainment – Niiinneeee.
