Regional Western Australia will be added to the Regional TAM service from Sunday.
Regional TAM is a joint venture comprising the 5 FTA regional commercial networks – NBN, Prime Television, Seven Queensland, Southern Cross Broadcasting Pty Ltd, and WIN Corporation.
WA results will include full measurement of digital television platforms, including time shift viewing associated with PVRs.
TENWest launched on June 10 and both WIN & GWN will be rolling out digital transmissions in the near future. Digital penetration levels are currently estimated at around 50%.
UNITAM will be used to measure live and time shift viewing in Regional Western Australia by Nielsen.

For Oztam metro ratings Perth is the area bounded Lancelin, Beverley, Wandering and Dawesville. Areas outside this are regional WA. Metro Perth covers about 80% of the WA population.

David, why don’t you ever report regional ratings?
Good on WA for making it to the big leagues of “not actually very accurate” ratings…
Sorry. I’m meaning the actual population of which this will include.
Looks like it may be 482,000 going off this agbnielsen.net/Uploads/Australia/2010RegWAFactFile.pdf
@FJ: Regional WA includes the state of WA except Perth, which is included in metropolitan OzTAM ratings.
What is the catchment for regional WA?
