Returning: Scream Awards

An awards show with Lost's Oceanic fuselage on stage? Must be the Scream Awards.

This weekend SciFi screens the annual Scream Awards, Spike TV’s event that honours Sci Fi, fantasy, horror and comic genres.

The awards ceremony took place at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles earlier this month.

This year’s highlights included Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd reunited on stage to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Back to the Future, special awards for author Ray Bradbury and actress Sigourney Weaver plus a farewell tribute to Lost (that’s Jimmy Kimmel in the pic).

It premieres Saturday, October 30 at 7.30pm. Almost in time for Halloween.

  1. Probably the best thing that happened is in the first 5 minutes – Mickey Rourke coming out to accept his Best Villain award, dressed like he’d just gotten out of bed and carrying a styrofoam cup of coffee, saying dryly “Very nice to be here…there’s a lot of tits & ass”. You can turn it off after that 🙂
