Airdate: Must be the Music

This UK talent show welcomes any musical performer, group, or solo, whether vocalist, musician, gospel choir, indie rock band, or rapper.

The next talent show to hit our screens is on FOX8, with the UK series Must be the Music.

Hosted by UK television presenter Fearn Cotton, the show welcomes any musical performer, group, or solo, whether vocalist, musician, gospel choir, indie rock band, rapper or opera soprano.

The show features Jamie Cullum as one of the judges.

The entry criteria for MUST BE THE MUSIC are simple: any instrument, any song – a classic hit or one of your own. There’s no age limit and any kind of musician can apply. Pianists, violinists, rock bands, steel bands and singer-songwriters all take part and compete to win a place in the massive live final at Wembley, and ultimately, the 100,000 pound cash prize.

Judging the acts each week is a stellar lineup of judges – the golden boy of the British music scene Dizzee Rascal, multiple award-winning singer and pianist Jamie Cullum and chart topping singer/songwriter Sharleen Spiteri. All three are hugely successful musicians and have collectively sold over 18 million records.

After every live show, all the tracks performed on the show are released for sale immediately online. In a revolutionary and democratic twist, the artists receive all the profits from these sales – meaning they make money from their music straight away, as well as dominating the record charts across the whole series. This is a mainstream family entertainment series that supports real music.

It begins Monday November 29 at 8.30pm.

  1. i like the sound of this show

i like how the songs are released right away and they make an impact on the charts so the artist can get success right away.

and then when the show finishes the artist has already built a fan base and brought their music and so they can release their own songs and people will buy them.

it’s like they are already famous and each live performance is just a mini concert for them…i love it
