Myles Barlow “kidnaps” Andrew O’Keefe

Myles Barlow gives Andrew O'Keefe a glimpse of his own future in a parody of Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

Satirical critic Myles Barlow (Phil Lloyd) gives Andrew O’Keefe a glimpse of his own future in a parody of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

O’Keefe gets kidnapped by the ABC comedian for his upcoming Review With Myles Barlow: Xmas Special, to air later this month.

The scene is even reminiscent of O’Keefe’s own Christmas past….

Barry Crocker also gets in on the fun.

Also in this special, Myles is spending up and wreaking havoc at his ex-wife’s office Christmas party, in an effort to examine festive excess. And in the Letter of the Season, family secrets explode when Myles invites an old friend around for dinner, in order to capture the Christmas spirit.

Review With Myles Barlow: Xmas Special airs 10pm Wednesday, 22 December on ABC1 and will be repeated on ABC2 – Thursday, December 23 at 9:30pm.

  1. Fantastic! i love review, can’t understand why it’s only on abc2?? soooo funny. and I can’t believe Phil Lylod was a writer for home and away. polar opposites!

  2. ‘Review with Myles Barlow’ is the best Australian comedy on television today.

    The. Best.

And yet, ABC management buries the series on ABC2… with virtually no publicity… and puts ‘The Librarians’ on the main channel as their flagship comedy series.

Isn’t the intention of comedy to make one laugh? Myles Barlow cracks my household up. The Librarians, alas, does not.

  3. Good to see we havent seen the last of him. Maybe Series 3 wont take as long to appear as Series 2 did? Oh, probably not still relevant but I got Review Series 1 DVD from the ABC shop for $5, fans should check what its going for if theyve not already got it.
