Susan Boyle stops mid-song live on The View

Susan Boyle stopped singing while appearing on The View, seemingly unaware the show was live.

Susan Boyle stopped singing “O Holy Night” while appearing live on The View.

Seemingly unaware the show was live she hit a rough note that caused her to come to a full halt.

She turned to stop the music, as Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg joined her on the stage.

The moment was seen live by viewers on the East Coast, but a new version was taped for West Coast broadcasts.

  1. It was a shame that they couldn’t throw to a break so she could clear her throat or sing at the end. I thought Sherri and Whoopi were very sweet to her.

  2. @Knowfirst, I think you may have some misplaced grief about the untimely deaths of Michael Hutchence and Kurt Cobain (also known as transference). By all means mourn those who have gone but there’s no need to put s@@t on performers whose music you don’t like. She’s just doing her thang! Imagine if you were judged that harshly …

  3. Have just seen her entire segment on The View on Channel Nine. She stopped because she had a frog in her throat, not because of a diva tantrum. She sounded terrible, very scratchy, and in hindsight, she probably shouldn’t have gone on in the first place. I agree that she did not appear to realise that the show was being filmed live.

  4. Said it before, will say it again, there is no God on this planet whilst people like Kurt Cobain and Michael Hutchence are taken so early, yet oxygen thieves like this pathetic individual and Justin Beiber remain.

    1. Diva? No. Probably a misunderstanding that she hadn’t been advised it was live. I didn’t see any diva tantrum.

Reminds me of Meatloaf’s world debut of “I Would Do Anything for Love” on Hey Hey -only to ask to start again. Daryl had to say “and now for the second time anywhere in the world…” or words to that effect.
