Yes it’s that time of year again.
Time for you to have your say on the best and worst on the box this year -and everything in between in the annual TV Tonight Awards.
This is the fourth time the awards survey has been conducted. You’ll have your chance to vote on drama, comedy, light entertainment, news, children’s, reality, sport, morning TV, the best performers, the worst performers, the over-exposed, channels and international television.
Once again it is a comprehensive list of over 30 questions, that takes around 8 mins to complete.
To help prompt your memory here are some other award shows:
2010 Logie Nominees
2010 ASTRA Nominees
2010 Emmy Nominees
2010 AFI Award Nominees
2010 Golden Globe Nominees
2011 Logie voting
and the recent Critic’s Choice wrap of the best and the worst.
Voting continues until Friday December 31st with the results to be published in early January.

I’ll give everyone four words to help out proceedings:
1. Spiritied.
2. Rake.
3. Offspring
4. Tangle.
i will try again with a TV guide open nearby
I’m a bit obsessed with television, so I keep a weekly diary of what I watch. Yes, I know it’s weird but how handy is it now… 😉
haing a list of options for each category would make it simpler.dificult to remember what was on all year
I haven’t provided a list of options in any of the 4 years the awards has run. This is because I believe in fairness and don’t want to leave any show out (including Pay TV shows). Ultimately, if you have a favourite show in a genre it should spring to mind, otherwise you are free to pass. I did provide some handy links in this post for reference.
Thanks to everyone who has completed voting thus far. Getting some great responses (and special thanks for the kind words, guys!).
Please also note that votes are only accepted in the category for which they are eligible, to avoid spamming campaigns.
I voted Blankety Blanks lol.
@ D, Pat – Probably too much extra work for David.
Also, you aren’t required to fill in every field.
Are we allowed to do any FYC campaigns?!?!
😉
Shouldn’t there be some sort of intelligence test done before doing the survey. Channel 9 regular viewers shouldn’t be allowed to participate for a start.
was too difficult to think of the names out of thin air , list of options would have been better. Especially if its a format of a show that you might not watch and is even harder to think of the best one. I gave up on 2nd page.
Done! had to really make me think about quite a few of the categories though!
Thats was tough haha
Great survey. One suggestion for next time: perhaps don’t deliberately exclude ‘News’ from the morning television (5am-noon) category. There’s no reason ABC News Breakfast shouldn’t be able to compete against Sunrise and Today.
Can’t wait for the results! 😀
Modern Family and Dexter for the win
Although I voted for Not Going Out as best international comedy
Done 🙂
Done.
Gawd that survey is hard on the ol brain factory!! Lucky you included all those lists for me to cheat off!! Had to chuck in a few n/a’s as they do not apply to me (don’t watch kids shows or sport)
I am espcially happy because I got to say Carrie Bickmore is the worst female on tv 🙂
Too bad if you don’t watch TV 24/7. I can’t name a show that falls within most of those categories.
I’ve just realised, I don’t watch enough TV to give a comprehensive overview! I think a drop down menu with each question would help…with the option of ‘other’ if you wanted to add another program not listed.
Votes submitted.
Great survey – easy to use, uncomplicated, and very comprehensive. Looking forward to the results.
Natalie garonzi was robbed in the logies for next year so I hope she can win one of these.
Heyhey for worst show. I think the worst awards are more competitive than the bests.
Done !
Having a list of options would be much easier than having to fill in blank fields.
There should be a Back button on the survey. I found myself remembering shows I could vote for for categories I’d already past.
What a complicated survey. Too many categories. I got to page 3 and wasn’t sure if the show i had was a lifestyle, talk back or reaility show and cancelled. Does it really need to be that complicated?
