Former Test Cricketer Allan Border will front trials for Cricket Superstar in Bunbury today.
Updated: Border will be the key judge for the series.
The Reality series replaces Football Superstar, as it searches for the next cricketing hero.
“The ultimate winner will get a first-class contract, but there will be half a dozen kids who get picked up who aren’t already in the system,” he told News Limited.
“In two to four years’ time, if we pick a kid who plays for Australia, it’s a tick for the show, but it’s also exactly what we’re looking for.”
Cricketers aged between 17 and 22 have applied for the eight different trials around the country. 15 will be selected to participate.
Produced by North One and co-hosted by Lee Furlong, the series airs later this year on FOX8.

Allan Border doesn’t attend the trials actually, I went to the Perth one today and they said he won’t be along until the 2nd stage.
How many games of A-League have the Football Superstar winners played between them?
Wow Cricket Australia must be desperate isn’t the Academy enough? But this could be a quiet little achiever.
