I’m with Maev. Don’t watch TEN News since they took Ron off. He needs to be on in prime time. Why one of the other commercial channels hasn’t picked him up is beyond me. He is the closest thing we have to a news legend in Sydney since Hendo and Rossco retired.
And, trying to do a live two-way from a city that has cut mobile phone and internet access is tricky. Ten out of ten (pun intended) for their effort.
Ten uses a 3g based device that piggy back a compressed video/audio signal to sydney. Which allows them todo rapid deployments without using a expensive Satellite/fibre feeds
Great point Stew.
That was one of the most akward moments I’ve ever seen on Live TV News during a cross.
That poor young reporter, but Ron saved him!
Do we have a clip?
I don’t know Ron or watch channel 10 but that was actually a pretty good recovery . What a pro.
noo rons hot! love you ronny! channel ten should put him back on the 5 PM news, that’s were he belongs.. his damn good at what he does (being good looking and a talented news reader)
Ron is just the best…..why they ever took him off the news at five I cannot fathom….He is Mr. News…..like Brian Henderson was…
I do not watch Ten news since they took him off…..
Hamish is hot
There was a better one 40 minutes later!
Report was talking about the expected hot weather:
“People should drink plenty of water, ah, ah plenty of, ah plenty of water and ah…”
Then Ron gave him the rap up!
Good on Ron for keeping it together! Maybe the Egyptian government cut the audio…
