The global videogame community will raise money for Japan in a video project on Japanese gaming.

The global videogame community will raise money for the people of Japan in a one hour video project on the Japanese gaming industry.

Gamers Heart Japan will include veteran game industry journalists, top game makers and game journalists sharing their thoughts on the talented creators from the Japanese videogame scene. They will talk about the past, present and future of Japan as a games making powerhouse, reminding our viewers that the country needs support to rebuild.

  1. As a serious gamer, I hope this helps assist the Japanese gaming industry. Honestly, Western have really caught up (Mass Effect 2, Gears of War, Bioshock, Assassins Creed) and are pretty equal now so hopefully they can recover.

  2. Oh, my bad – I didn’t realise that the original broadcast is also only an hour. I guess by “interviews” they mean 30 second clips of all these people saying “My favourite Japanese games are X, Y, and Z. The end.”

  3. One hour seems hardly enough to hear from all these awesome people. I guess in the Australian version most of them will be edited out.

    Anyway, props to all the people putting in the effort to make the broadcast. I hope the fundraising part is a success.
