Regional viewers now have access to an Austar TV Guide via a new iPhone application.

Regional viewers now have access to an Austar TV Guide via a new iPhone application.

MyStar subscribers will be able to book, record and series linking through the application.

The 7 day Guide is available to both subscribers and non-subscribers, and includes Search, Genre and Synopsis info.

Deanne Weir Group Director, Corporate Development, said: “We started this next phase of our product evolution with Austar AnyWhere last year and are very pleased to be introducing an app that anyone with an iPhone or iPad can automatically see, whether they are customers or not. We want to create more ways for our subscribers to plan and personalise their viewing, and Austar TV Guide for iPhone fits this perfectly.”

Over the next 10 months Austar will be developin similar applications for Android phones and iPad application.

  1. far out took them long enough to get there arse in gear and release the app thank god i am lucky enough to be able to have foxtel instead of aus sh*t i feel sorry for those of you in country areas who have to put up with a second rate service just because you dont live in the big smoke

  2. About time! Austar have been saying since mid last year that the iPhone app would be released “soon”. Bloody rediculous! Foxtel release their third app while Austar launch their first. I pray to god that Foxtel, or any other company, buys out Liberty Global’s Austar shares so us regional viewers can finally get some good pay TV service that offers All channels and features offered in other parts of the country.
