I cannot believe that channel 9( or any TV station for that matter) can employ rumour mongers like Craig Hutchinson or Damien Barrett.
What right do these guys have to comment on a game they have never played at the highest level.
Maybe channel 9 needs to have a public poll on whether these guys are respected by anyone in the football fraternity.
Unbelievable………..An entire show about football and the West Coast Eagles and Brisbane Lions do not crack one miserable mention on the entire show televised 18.04.11. About time Victorians realised this is a Natonal competition.
Why won’t 9 air it in the Brisbane market. Surely that’s what digital channels are for!!
Caroline, once again, you disgust me with your double standards. How dare you refer to Gary as “Sweetheart” in that derogatory tone. If the tables were turned, you would be the first person screaming ‘sexual discrimination’. You treat your colleagues with such contempt, why on earth would we listen to your interpretration of our great game? Gary is paid to put up with you, I don’t have to.
I love it keep asking the big question.I to wish it was on a lot earlier but at least we get it I guess.
@tim: Footy Classified is usually broadcast in an early Tuesday timeslot in NSW and Qld.
@sam No doubt Nine will play the alternate Footy Show in a late night Thursday slot as they have done for years. Cant’ see Nine having two channels showing Footy Shows in prime time, when they know they’ll get better ratings from TBBT/2.5Men 🙂
Footy Classified back? Good Call
Only aired in three markets? Bad Call.
My only disappointment is that you guys are not starting the telecast earlier here in Perth(date wise) we are starved for good genuine reporting on the who’s who and whats what without all the theatrics of other T.V. programs. Have a great year everyone looking forward to your comments
Darwin market – afl very strong here – stronger market than sydney!
A would have to say the ONE HD’s One Week At a Time is better then Footy Classified more lighthearted and still better journalism then the nine alternative and the time slot is better, pluss its around the nation on ONE HD.
Come Ch9 – find a spot in your Sydney schedule for Footy Classified. We AFL heads in Sydney are crying out for serous commentary of footy issues. Ch7 thankfully shows AFL Game Day live on Ch72 each Sunday and Ch10 has the excellent One Week At A Time on Monday nights. Yes, Ch9 replays The Footy Show late but that show has become too juvenile. When you look like getting serious stuff from Craig Hutchison, bloody Sam Newman continually interupts or puts his head in the frame. Oh, and by the way…. Go Pies!
can we see this in sydney on GO please nine…..and the footy show on thursdays too thanks – long suffering afl fan in “northern “states
I really enjoy this show. Its my 2nd favourite behind Before the Game. This is actually a serious show it but it also has funny parts.
Really enjoy this show. Any chance Sydney and Brisbane viewers will get to see the show?
Love the show, especially the dry humor by Grant Thomas. Looking forward to it.
Best footy show on tv, and the only show i watch on Nine. Seven really needs a show like this, not the abysmal The Bounce. But they’ll prob lose the rights soon, so it’s a bit late
can’t wait for another big year in footy!
I love this show, I love their banter and their insight into wheelings and dealings etc that is not so openly discussed in an adult manner anywhere else.
@Timmuh: it’s not poor! It’s actually quite a good show.
Timmah, cannot agree with you when you say “as poor as it is”. This is a terrific show, nothing poor about it. But have to agree with you that it is the best footy show around.
Any chance of it being on Nine/WIN (or Go!) in the other states?
As poor as it is, its the best of the footy shows going around.
Is there any word on whether this will on in Sydney and Brisbane on a multi channel or later slot?
But not in Canberra again. I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, Commercial Channels You have digital channels use them!!!
I would really like to see this on one of the digitals but I’m going to be disappointed sadly.
