Miguel Maestre, who hosts Miguel’s Tropical Kitchen on the LifeStyle Food Channel, had an Apprehended Violence Order application against him withdrawn in Manly Local Court today.
The AVO had been lodged by Nelson Ng, owner of Manly’s El Poco Loco (previously El Toro Loco) restaurant, after he fired Maestre as head chef in December.
But the application was withdrawn by Magistrate Vivien Swain, after both men signed a confidential 12-month agreement. It stated that neither approach, contact, assault, harass, stalk or threaten the other.
Court documents say the main part of the argument was over a Range Rover leased by Maestre that Ng claimed was only for the time of his employment at the restaurant.
