This year sees the return of Italy to the contest after a long absence as one of the Big 5 automatically entering the Final. It is represented by Raphael Gualazzi with the song, Madness Of Love, a jazz-infused pop tune that is bright if not quite Michael Buble yet.

Only 42 others awaiting your ears…

Eurovision will again air on SBS ONE with the final on May 15.

  1. If they want their song to be a commercial success outside of their country, it pretty much has to be in English. And so be it, I love it. It is still nice to have the odd smattering of native tongues, but English makes it a total, global boon!

  2. Eurovision is just not like it used to be. I want to hear songs in the country’s language, not English (unless it’s their first language).

  3. Half the fun for me is not knowing the songs till the show and then picking my favourites and the winner. I am aware of the Swedish and Danish entries though because I watched Melodifestivalen and Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.
