Newsflash: They all primp and preen before they go on air and some of the males are worse than the females. The only difference here is that this made it to air.

Kate Collins is another example of the extreme sexism in the commercial news business. In 2006 she received her Graduate Diploma of Journalism & only two short years of field reporting & studio fill-ins later she started hosting SA’s local ACA in 2008. Be honest & tell me that wouldn’t have happened to anyone else even half as good looking as Ms Collins? Surely the more experienced Georgina McGuinness would’ve been the more logical choice? I bet Jo Hall at Melbourne’s Nine News knows what I’m writing about since the rumors of sport’s Tony Jones being groomed to take over from Peter Hitchener have surfaced…
