On Trial: sneak peek

If you’ve seen court cases in countless television shows including Law and Order, Judge Judy, The Good Wife and Rafferty’s Rules, then ABC’s new factual series may take your interest.

The series features a murder trial, a major assault, and a robbery and assault trial.

In the first episode a man faces trial on charges of possessing an unlicensed firearm, using to intimidate and firing -a potential jail sentence of 14 years.

This one looks at how the court system operates and by the looks of things has some pretty rare access.

As with many true-life legal cases it’s taken a long time to reach the screen. This one was filmed in 2008.

It premieres at 8:30pm Thursday June 2nd on ABC1.
