Ooops. America’s Got Talent, and maybe just a hint of porn.
A promo for an America's Got Talent shares a little bit too much information about the person who put it together.

A promo for an America’s Got Talent competition that asks entrants to add clips to YouTube neglected to clear the computer history of the person who put it together.
As a result the promo briefly carried a glimpse of some of the other websites that had been surfed before, including “Porn. Sex Videos. XXX.”
It’s so fast that you can only see it in a blurry freezeframe at 0.7 seconds.
Gives a slightly new meaning to those XXX crosses underneath the judges….

@cch – if you pause it just as the announcer starts to say “America’s” (actually just on 8 sec) you can just make out that the computer user has typed “www.you” and the third suggestion is as circled in red later on. You’ll need to have your brightness and contrast up as it’s been darkened and is pretty much obscured by the lighting effects, which then magically clear up after the suggestion is replaced as the user keeps typing.
Eek. How embarrassing. Pause at 0:07 and you can kinda see it. Don’t drink red wine and post comments, kids.
Well the original story did say to freeze at 7 seconds and you can just see it. Didn’t read it on Gizmodo, but it’s a pretty good site nonetheless.
Riiiight. Pretty sure that if you actually pause at 0:08 and look at the original clip, there’s no mention of a porn site in the browser history. Looks like “YouPorn” are getting some nice publicity out of this doctored video, from a YouTube channel that’s only several days old. Don’t believe everything you read on Gizmodo, TV Tonight!
Am I missing something here? If you pause the promo when the vo initially says “on YouTube …” (at 8 seconds) the dropdown menu is quite different from the one in the freeze frame (from 14 seconds)
Well someone certainly dropped the ball on that one. Someone’s going to get fired.
How does anyone notice this type of stuff?
@Paul – What does that even mean? That only Americans look at porn? That only Americans would make a mistake like that? Please explain my xenophobic friend.
Heh, that’s funny and great thumb for the main page. He got as far as typing “www.you” and the url prediction suggested YouPorn. Lucky he wasn’t trying to go to analysis.com…
That’s American’s for you!.
LOL.
