The special aired in the US yesterday.

Winehouse first burst onto the American music scene in 2006 with her smash hit “Rehab,” followed soon thereafter with tabloid coverage of her drug addiction.

Bio. Channel will go back to reveal how she made her very first pay cheque, how her demo landed at Island/Universal and how she was launched into the limelight.

It’s her music, her tumultuous relationship with husband Blake and her struggle with drugs and rehab: this is the full story of Amy Winehouse.

It will air Friday, July 29 at 10:30pm AEST.

  1. @steve; True Hollywood Story is actually and E! production, however Bio may have secondary airing rights. But yes, I do agree that having a True Hollywood Story on someone that is a teen or still has a career in what they were known for it a little silly.

  2. I lost respect for Bio channel a while ago when they started doing True Hollywood Stories on people like Lindsay Lohan who were only 20yrs old at the time.

    Inside the Actors Studio is the only thing I watch on that channel now.
