New US shows for Graham Norton, Richard Hammond.

BBC America greenlights original productions and developments including a US a version of James May's Man Lab.

Graham Norton and Richard Hammond are set to feature in the first batch of original productions which have been commissioned by BBC America.

Graham Norton will front a 13 episode comedy game show Would You Rather With Graham Norton. To be shot in New York, that pits US comics against each other in a battle of wits.

Hard Drive With Richard Hammond features the Top Gear co-host competing with local experts driving “some of America’s toughest and most extraordinary vehicles.” Based on the BBC format World’s Toughest Driving Tests, it has a six episode order.

Meanwhile James May’s Man Lab U.S is one of the five pilots in development.

It features May teaming up with a U.S. sidekick to help Americans rediscover and relearn the skills that define “being a man.”

The UK version premieres on Nine tonight.

Other pilots at BBCA include car-centric AUTO Biography, tech competition Battlemodo, addiction diary Shock Therapy and a culinary competition forcing chefs to compete called No Kitchen Required.

  1. Graham Norton is without a doubt the funniest man on Television, but also a damn fine interviewer. Best of luck to him cracking the US Market!
