Next Monday on Hot Seat the four couples from The Block will face off against Eddie McGuire in a special episode as they chase $1 million for a charity of their choice.
We’ve watched them work a power tool but do they have the brainpower to reach the $1 million dollar question and win the big bucks for their chosen charity?
Animal lovers Josh and Jenna will be playing for the RSPCA while Rod and Tania endeavour to win some cash for the Royal Children’s Hospital. Polly and Waz will play for HeartKids and sisters Katrina and Amie hope to win enough to help Crohn’s and Colitis Australia find a cure for the disease that Katrina has lived with for 16 years.
We’ve watched them renovate entire houses, now watch them take on a whole different kind of challenge. Plus, with The Block host Scott Cam on set there’s sure to be a few twists and surprises.
In over 500 episodes of Hot Seat no one has managed to take home the million-dollar cheque. Can one of The Block couples make Hot Seat history?

Blatant plugs…cross promotion… of course…its a TV station…and im sure you would see 7 and 10 do it as well….oh gee has anyone watched sunrise lately? they would do a cross promotion at least daily…and dont get me started for when they cross from the studio to sydney…or more like one presenters desk on set to a chair 30 metres away…. its television people…nothing is real….contra is alive and well…cross promotion is a form of marketing… and they will try anything to get a bump in ratings…. if you dont like it…simple dont watch it…but Stop coming here to whinge about it. Let David be the critique…. Television is great, all forms and faults of it.
Nine is getting worse.Bring back Bugs Bunny and His Cartoon Friends to 5:30pm like what we had back in the eighties.There wasn’t a better show to lead into the news and to have some laughter at the end of the working day was great.In the absence of Cartoons just ditch Hot Seat and Eddie and put on some Big Bang Theory or 2.5 men.
I hated Mr Collingwood with a passion.Eddie McGuire was half the reason every Monday Night Sex and the City was delayed by start by 5 to 10 minutes

it is fantastic that they are giving the money to charity but it really is just another blatant plug by channel 9
This concept of the Block meets Millionaire was done in season 2 of The Block and was pretty amusing so I’m looking forward to this.
