Rove LA from CBS Television City

Rove LA will be filmed at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, home to some of the greats.

Rove‘s next TV project will be filmed at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, home to some of the greats.

Although the show is under the watch of Todd Yasui, former head of Late Night at FOX, it remains executive produced by MacManus’ long-time production partner Craig Campbell (The 7PM Project), who has flown to LA to launch the new series.

Rove LA will see Rove back in his natural habitat – a supercharged comedy driven talk show in front of a live audience, talking to celebrities. Incorporating the hottest guests as well as Rove’s take on the LA way of life, this exclusive one hour series is the perfect way to welcome Rove McManus back into your lounge room.

Shot at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, Rove LA will provide viewers with a weekly slice of Hollywood and will take you beyond the tourist traps to discover why the phrase ‘Only in LA’ was coined.

From Roving Enterprises, Rove LA is executive produced by Craig Campbell, Rove’s long-time creative partner and the driving force behind the 7PM Project. The US based production team will be led by Todd Yasui, one-time Tonight Show booker and former head of Late Night at Fox Network in the US.

Rove said: “The time for lounging by the pool has gone on long enough. I feel recharged and excited about starting a new show in a new home but then again, it’s hard not to be when you’re one floor up from Drew Carey’s Price Is Right.

So far it’s been a lot of fun putting the new show together and more than anything I’m looking forward to being back on Aussie screens on FOX8.”

Group Channel Manager, FOX8 Duane Hatherly said: “Rove is an icon of the industry and we are honoured that his comeback to Australian television is on FOX8.

There is no doubt his humour and presence has been missed and this new series is a sensational addition to our already impressive Australian production slate. We can’t wait for the premiere on September 19!”

Mondays at 8.30pm AEST from September 19 on FOX8.

  1. he ditched australia to pursue a career in america, he failed rather epically, and now hes coming crawling back to our tv screens?

no thanks, im giving this a miss.

  2. As long as Ryan Shelton stays away from this I’ll be happy. I’m also glad their putting this on FOX8 and not one of the other channels not in the basic package. I will definitely be watching and the promos have been quite clever aswell. I wonder what figures FOX8 would be hoping for. Any ideas David?

  3. Hope the show goes well..I’ll be watching the show..Rove is very good on Jay Leno this year going around America and interviewing Americans in their natural.habitat

  4. I still remember the days when Rove Live was on 9:30 Tuesdays, straight after The OC in 2004/2005

Segments like Flick Your Switch, What The? and Hang Up, Don’t Hang Up were hilarious!!

Lost something special when it moved to 8:30 Sundays IMO, but definitely watchable.
