Auditions: Bollywood Star

Psst! Ever wanted to appear in a Bollywood movie?

SBS is looking for an ‘Australian Bollywood star’ with a new series to be produced by WTFN Entertainment (Bondi Vet, Keeping up with the Joneses).

Bollywood Star will be a four-part series, that searches for an unknown who will go on to win a part in a Bollywood movie. Overseeing the search will be renowned Bollywood producer and director Mahesh Bhatt.

Michael Ebeid, SBS Managing Director, said: “The series will follow the hundreds of hopefuls who will audition for a part in a Bollywood movie as they’re whittled down to six finalists who will travel to Mumbai to immerse themselves in Indian culture and experience the glitz and glamour of the Bollywood movie scene. The final winner will be selected by Mahesh himself and take away the prize of a role in his next feature film.

“While it’s the opportunity of a lifetime for many, this journey will also be a challenging one for those who take part. Bollywood Star continues SBS’s commitment to pushing the boundaries with commissioned content with this exciting take on the talent search format”.

SBS indicates anyone from any cultural background can be a Bollywood Star, if they are over the age of 18.

However auditions are only being staged in Sydney, on Saturday 22nd October.
