i am frustrated as some times i cant get 7two, signal is bag. So I missed the tennis doubles. is there any way i can see it via my computer?
please help
Great to see all the comments slamming Nine’s pathetic coverage of the Rugby Codes. If only they knew there both rugby league and rugby union fans outside of NSW and Qld. Here in Adelaide you feel ashamed to be a league fan because your always awake when everyone else is asleep.
Not happy about Davis Cup on 7 two, Sat and Sun.
Why not 7? like the telecast on Friday.
agree with you Wayne on the fantastic coverage Fox sports do for the Us open, should stay on there. there was so much hype over 7/7TWO’s coverage of Wimbledon, they started on time but they finished early, missing out on some crucial matches late in the day’s play!
@ SAMA – no official work but if Sam Stosur makes the US open final (which i think and hope she does), i reckon, despite fox having exclusive rights, there will be some sort of free to air broadcast…the womens final is due at 6am mondday morning, so they might broadcast it on GEM, obviously similcasting via the Fox feed – If she wins it will be the 2nd (behind Cadel Evans) biggest national achievement by an indiviadual this year, and in most other years it would be no.1, so with such national significance, surely they will broadcast this match in some way…..at the very least they might play it at midnight on monday night….plus channel 9 and Fox have a pretty close relationship
@ Big V, if you remember when Stosur made the French open final, her match was broadcast live on 9, despite foxsports having exclusive right, under extreme circumstances like this, government can intervene and demand an exception due to how nationally significant this is.
@ Andrew. No, it would not be cool if 7 picked up the US open. Fox Sports are killing it with the coverage and its great seeing the event in HD, something 7 would screw up. Not to mention it would mess with sunrise and the morning show and end up getting punted to god knows where. Leave it alone.
@samo I wish but i doubt it (would be cool if 7 just picked up the US broadcast even)
So that will be one Lleyton match before he pulls and eyelash or strains his eyebrow and pulls out is it?
An excellent idea for use of sporting events on Seven and 7TWO. Good on you Seven! Yay Tennis!
Good to see Seven using their multichannels properly. So they’ve used 7TWO for Wimbledon and now the Davis Cup, hopefully they’ll utilise the channel for the Australian Open next year, and show the night sessions live into QLD / WA / SA by starting it live on 7TWO and then switching to Seven after TT or H&A.
Great news and a relief for the fans who are desperate for the RWC on Channel 9.
@samo: Fox Sports have exclusive rights to the US open
david- any word on if we will see sam stouser in the uS open final should she get there on FTA ?? thanks
The reason for showing the tennis on 7TWO is the V8 Supercars (from Phillip Island) on the main channel on the same weekend.
And this Channel Nine is how you do it. Good on you Seven. Live in all states. Will definitely be watching.
How appropraite this article features directly above Nine’s pathetic Rugby League/Rugby Union schedule where they think playing games on 4 hour delay at 2am is a good thing.
An excellent use of multi-channels – hate to say this, but it looks like Seven get it – even if the AFL is still screwed over in western states
