Actress Reese Witherspoon is recovering at home after being being hit by a car while jogging in Santa Monica.
She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where she received treatment for sustained minor injuries.
Police said the car that hit her was going approximately 20 miles per hour.
The driver was an 84-year-old woman who was interviewed at the scene and then cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
Witherspoon is best known for her films including Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, Cruel Intentions, and Pleasantville but has appeared in Return to Lonesome Dove, The Simpsons and Friends.
