Nine confirms its launch date for the Celebrity Apprentice Australia, set to lead their charge into the final weeks of the ratings year.

Nine has now confirmed its launch date for the Celebrity Apprentice Australia, featuring Mark Bouris, as 7pm Monday October 24.

As previously reported the series will be stripped five nights a week, with two eliminations each week:

Monday: Celebrity Challenge
Tuesday: Boardroom and…“You’re Fired”
Wednesday: Celebrity Challenge
Thursday: Boardroom and…“You’re Fired”
Friday: Behind-the-scenes

This is the second Apprentice series for Nine, and will lead their charge into the final weeks of the ratings year.

In Celebrity Apprentice some of Australia’s most well-known and controversial celebrities will be working towards raising money for their various charities.

The Apprentice Australia’s Mr Mark Bouris, one of the country’s most successful high-profile businessmen and Chairman/Co-Founder of wealth management company Yellow Brick Road, will helm the series.

Joining Mr Bouris in the boardroom are:

Pauline Hanson: Politician
Polly from The Block: Reality Star
Jason Coleman: Dance Guru
Max Markson: Agent to the Stars
Julia Morris: Comedienne
Jesinta Campbell: Beauty Queen
Wendell Sailor: Footy Champion
Shane Crawford: AFL Legend
Lisa Curry: Olympian
Deni Hines: Australian Singer
Didier Cohen: International Model
Warwick Capper: 80’s Icon

At stake is $100,000 for the winning celebrity apprentice’s charity.

All of the (in-) famous contestants will be competing in challenges using their fame, their contacts and anything else they can think of to win for their respective charitable causes.

The celebrities will be subjected to long hours, gruelling mental challenges, and intense scrutiny…all without their usual safety net and support team of agents, managers and personal assistants.

7pm weeknights on Channel Nine from October 24th.

  1. Is Channel Nine actively trying to stop people watching?

It’s a struggling format overseas. So, let’s take it, mess with it, fill it with people no-one cares about and flood our lineup with it.

If this show lasts more than two weeks, I will eat my hat.

  2. I’ll bet $50K that after a few eps… the show will move to GO!…. I’m laughing already!

Who cares if it’s not rating… just keep the show on schedule, on same network and same time… it will keep the people actually watching it happy… are you listening Nine Network?!

  3. Armchair Analyst, wasn’t Deni on that celebrity skating competition a few years ago? And she’s always one of the talking heads on 20 to 1. Both of them are Ch9 shows, and her career isn’t any better or worse since then, so there’s no reason to think this kind of show isn’t a good fit for her.

  4. The question mark is will this fix Nine’s Woes at 7pm before 2012 comes around?Don’t get me wrong about the constant 2.5 men and Big Bang Theory repeats they pull great figures and often kill Home and Away in the ratings(That Show has gone to rubbish as of late)but reality TV and American Done to Death Sitcoms are not the answer. It’s time for them from next year to give us something fresh and new of some sort or some non Eddie Hosted Game Shows.Better Yet Bring Larry Emdur back over from 7 to do the Price is Right starting in 2012 and give 2.5 Men and BBT a rest or keep them for non ratings seasons.

    1. But Franz, why is every comment about Nine’s 7pm slot? There are no plans to revive Price is Right, a 7pm gameshow or a 7pm sitcom. I really think it’s time to talk about other timeslots, genres and networks, surely?

  5. armchair analyst..

What do you mean Deni would be “above this” ??

And also her music career hasnt stalled… i dont think she’s even started LOL..

  6. @? Man: the show will probably be shown on WIN and NBN at 7.30pm, unless they move ACA to late night timeslot, meaning The Celebrity Apprentice can go to air at 7pm.

  7. Well I’ll predict this to be a hit. The ads look very appealing and I think they have chosen perfect celebs for the show. I don’t care if they are famous it’s their personality and entertainment value that matters. The US version is great and content wise I think the Aus version has the potential to hit the same mark.

  8. What about regional/Canberra we have aca at 7 (and let’s face it we would rather which this than a story about speed cameras or how the supermarket is ripping you off for the 1,000,000,000,000, time)

  9. I am a bit surprised that Deni Hines is in this. i would have thought that she would be above this kind of thing. Maybe its because her music career has stalled or because she is trying to get more publicity for a new album, although i dont think thats the reason. MIght watch this if nothing better is on.

  10. Some of great aussie celebs in this show, but this is yet another Ch 9 show that is gonna end up look like a really bad car crash, that is predictibe to see weeks & days before this debuts.

this show will backfire what ‘The Block’ had achieved, & will be literally be thrashed in ratings by both “H&A” & 7pm Project each day & week!!.
