Grab your Halloween candy and settle in for an evening of spookiness.

Halloween is Shrek’s favourite holiday – and this year he’s planning a night of frights, ogre style. Instead of the usual tricks or treats, Shrek ups the ante and challenges Donkey, Puss in Boots, Pinocchio and other fairytale characters to spend the night in Lord Farquaad’s haunted castle telling scary stories.

One by one, they compete through the night, putting their own fairytale spin on infamous spine-tingling tales that everyone knows and loves! The last one to be scared ‘Shrekless’ wins.

Scared Shrekless stars the voices of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas.

The Killian Curse
7:10pm – 8:55pm
As a Halloween treat, enjoy a sneak peak of the first 4 episodes of The Killian Curse.

The Killian Curse is a comedy-horror ‘kidult’ show that tells the stories of students in Room 21 at Killian High School who must each face an evil curse placed on them by the sinister Charles Killian – the man who founded the school in 1906.

Charles Killian was an eccentric man who met an ‘accidental’ death after locals discovered he was teaching the ways of demonology to impressionable young students. For revenge, Killian left behind a curse on Room 21, which saw its closure.

Now, after 100 years, Room 21 has been reopened and Killian is sending demons from the underworld to terrorise the current students and wreak havoc on those responsible for his death.

He only needs 11 souls until he has enough power to return from the dead and seek vengeance! Will enough of the Room 21 students be able to stop the curse before it’s too late?

During episode one, the new students of Room 21 are told the frightening story about Charles Killian. However, they don’t believe it until Killian captures his first soul.

Then Celia, the class ‘bug girl’, discovers she’s second on Killian’s hit list when she must battle a ‘possessor’ demon. Can she escape this terrible curse as it jumps from teacher to student then finally into her mum?

  1. Unfortunately Halloween never did take off in this country….good to see that some kids in previous years have come knocking at my door screaming “trick or treat!!!”.

  2. it appears all of the other networks don’t care for Halloween, but yet again GO is playing Scary Movie on halloween night. surely theres others they could come up with. this week 7mate is showing Robocop 3, they’ve aired horror movies on friday nights before but not this time? sure we don’t celebrate it but surely the youth and male oriented channels could have went through what they owned and played a couple. GO could have played Halloween H20 and 7mate could have played Halloween Resurrection. what good are these channels if your not gonna get into the spirit of things.

  3. Scared Shrekless is a repeat, and was shown late last year.

It would be good if the ABC could at least get a new special each year for Halloween, like they usually do for Christmas. A few suggestions:
Alvin And The Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein (Series was shown in the distant past)
Alvin And The chipmunks Meet The Wolfman (Series was shown in the distant past)
Scary Godmother: The Revenge of Jimmy (The original was shown several years ago)

I’m sure there are other specials, that have not been shown on (free to air) TV either.
