Good to see the ARIA awards on FTA, was it aired last year on FTA?

This is a dumb question from someone outside of the industry. When the mainstream FTA channels were considering whether or not to carry the ARIA awards, would they have known that the PM would be inducting Kylie; that Danni will be there, that the Wiggles would be inducted etc? I know ARIA release the nominations some way in advance, but the Hall of Fame may be a different matter.

My understanding is that Hall of Fame is locked in well in advance, though maybe not who would present it (PM). Given the broadcast deal was late this year even more so. That said, I doubt it weighed heavily on the decision. Neither ARIAs nor Kylie specials have rated especially highly in recent years, including with Robbie Williams. It comes down to covering costs.
ARIAs were on TEN last year and it was a shocker.
