Nat Bass? Fifi Box? Julia Morris? Who is on the short-list to replace Sonia Kruger?

Rumours are swirling (told you it was that time of year!) around who may land the Dancing with the Stars gig alongside Daniel MacPherson, following Sonia Kruger’s switch to Nine.

So far the names have included Fifi Box, whose main presence on Seven has been Sunrise and Four Weddings. She also co-hosts a Drive programme on Austereo with Jules Lund. She would be high on the Seven short-list.

Another name is Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who has proven successful as a judge on The X Factor this year.

“Within the network I think Nat would be great. I think she would be a great choice,” Daniel MacPherson told News Limited this week.

“But you never know what might happen.

“She does have a lot going on at the moment.”

So who else do readers see as a good fit?

Julia Morris? Kylie Gillies?

Julia Zemiro? Myf Warhurst?

Kerri-Anne? Gretel Killeen? Kidding.

It’s nearly the silly season, so let’s hear some suggestions….

  1. Fifi, Kylie and Nat are too bland to fill Sonias shoes on the DWTS. They need someone with great timing and natural sharp wit to help give the show some comic relief just like SK did. Julia Morris or Julia Zemiro would be perfect.

  2. Natalie looks good, but she has a very piercing voice if she has to raise it at all, which she shouldn’t have to in Dancing.

    Actually I’m surprised they’re doing it again, I reckon it’s well and truly run out of puff – and celebrities.

  6. I like the Courtney Act suggestion, or Carlotta would also be good. Otherwise from the rumoured list Fifi would be great, as would Julia Morris. Kylie Gillies would be dreadful.

  7. No, no, no, no, no, no – not Fifi Box, anyone but her, even Deni Hines would be preferable. I’ll switch off for good if Fifi gets the gig, she is so boring and talentless.

  9. Nat Bass has proved successful? I wouldn’t say that. And she would be Dreadful on DWTS – I don’t think her ‘improvisation/on the spot’ skills are up to scratch. She’s too scripted…

  10. I’d go with Rachael Finch. When she did the weather on Sunrise she showed she was more than a pretty face. She is fresh and she has a bit of a naughty side. She found romance on the show and is a bit of unpredictable. Love Fifi and NatBass but they need to go a bit newer and fresher.

  16. I would love Julia Morris to do it!!! She’s a cack!! Great personality and would surely push the boundaries like Sonia.

    What about Kate Ritchie? Even though I wouldn’t like to see her do it she did a decent job co-hosting It Takes Two and would be a favourite with the Seven Network. Just puttin’ it out there.

  25. there are plenty of good options, sonia was perfect because of her dancing background, they should go for an ex-contestant kylie gilles would be the top of my list, she is a huge fan of the show, she made the grand final herself, has great chemistry with everybody, she is natural and confident in front of the camera, and she is a good interviewer.

    i’d tip kerri-anne as a contestent, toni pearen, jessica rowe, bridie carter, jamie durie all went straight to DWTS once they had left 9.
