Mornings …. with Lisa Wilkinson next?
Update: Media speculation she will take over the morning shift from Kerri-Anne is dismissed as "utter rubbish" by Lisa Wilkinson.

With so many rumours on possible changes to the Sunrise team lately, it was only a matter of time before the Today show fell under the same media spotlight.
Today the Daily Telegraph speculates that Lisa Wilkinson is keen for the later slot of Mornings, currently hosted by Kerri-Anne Kennerley.
Nine is widely expected to reboot the Mornings format, but it isn’t clear what role Kerri-Anne Kennerley will play. It registered the Mornings trademark with IP Australia last week.
KAK has said, “I have had a thoroughly fabulous time, I have enjoyed it (hosting Kerri-Anne).”
“It has been nine years. We have done very well. Everything has to regroup so I am looking forward to it. If you don’t like change, don’t be in TV.”
But if Wilkinson is interested in exiting Today, she isn’t quoted anywhere, leaving it up to a Nine spokesperson to dismiss the idea.
UPDATE: Via Twitter Lisa Wilkinson says: “I am no KAK. Thanks for pointing that out. Gossip columnist told 2 days ago it was utter rubbish. Printed it anyway.”

I don’t like Lisa, she is not funny, and some of her lengthy opinon’s are just plain ridiculous. If Lisa is the new Kerri-Ann their ratings will plummet dramatically. What the hell are 9 thinking, they are losing viewers already I’m sorry but Lisa wont help them out.

I love Lisa, very intelligent, great on-air personality. It would be a loss to Today if she moved, even though Georgie Gardner is good value as well!!
The we’ll see how popular Karl is – ie – no one will watch at all.
It could definetly happen, Lisa is a think better suited to a show like that, although i dont really care because i will be out at that time.

Mornings with Lisa and Georgie would be a good idea. The few times I’ve seen their Girls on the Grill segment seems to suggest they have enough chemistry between them to pull off an entire show.
Imnot a today or kerri anne watcher but I reckon Lisa would be a great choice to take over. Doing a show like that would suit her and she wouldnt have to put up with Karl.

now this would be something I would watch, well, if I wasnt at work. Lisa is great and has a good balance of being mature and intelligent, and then funny and cheeky. Plus, I dunno, she just gets me where I live. Hope this turns out to be something.
As for Kerri-Anne, I dunno. I feel as if Nine are keeping her around out of obligation. She doesn’t add much anymore, except for a bogus comment here and there.

Also noted a change to Sunrise this morning. They had Alan Jones on their regular radio spot. Is this a move to counter the New Breakfast Show and i am wondering if he is going to be regular. I for one will move to Today if they do. I know a lot of people like him but lots more loath him.
Lisa would be awesome on Mornings. Excellent choice.
I’ll watch even less.
