Wales vs Wallabies on SBS

SBS will exclusively broadcast the rugby international between Wales and the Wallabies.

SBS will exclusively broadcast the rugby international between Wales and the Wallabies from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff Live on Saturday 4 December, hosted by Michael Tomalaris.

The match, which is part of the Wallabies Spring Tour, will be a rematch of the recent Rugby World Cup third place play-off, where the Wallabies edged out Wales 21-18.

“It’s not everyday that we get the chance to broadcast international level rugby union on SBS,” says Ken Shipp, Head of Sport at SBS. “I’m glad that we are able to provide free-to-air coverage of this match as a service to all rugby fans.”

1:15am (AEDT) Saturday 4 December on SBS ONE.

  1. well done to SBS for picking up the right to show minority sport. union is dead in terms of commercial tv appeal. the rugby commonwealth cup had dismal FTA rating and thats why No one on commercial TV wants a bar of union.

  2. Great! SBS has excellent reputation for sports coverage, at least we won’t have to accept the rubbish rugby coverage that Nine gave us at the world cup. Hope SBS bid for the next world cup rights!

  3. SBS HD 720 or 576 Still better than Foxtel picture on my 127cm screen.
Foxtel solution .Give us an extra $10 a month (greedy). I’ll Watch SBS HD Ch30
    Thanks SBS.
