Americana, a ‘soapy drama’ pilot for ABC Studios, is being spearheaded by Aussies.
Anthony LaPaglia (Without a Trace)Â has been cast as fashion designer Robert Soulter, head of a family business, while Natalie Mendoza (Hotel Babylon, Beastmaster, Moulin Rouge) will play the part of a ‘beautiful 30-something bitch’, Wendy.
As if that’s not enough, Aussie Phillip Noyce
(Revenge, Salt, Patriot Games) is on board to direct the pilot.
US writer Michael Seitzman (North Country, House Rules, Empire State) is attached to write and executive produce the New York-based drama.
