Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen repeat

TEN replays Your Gen on Saturday which pushes back start times for The Graham Norton Show and An Idiot Abroad.

After less than enthralling figures last night TEN has slated a repeat of Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation for 7:30pm Saturday.

It’s still a good show (and what they did to Amanda Keller was a hoot), but viewers are clearly unhappy with it being moved around the schedule so much. It pulled 678,000 viewers last night.

Saturday’s line-up now looks like this:

6:30 Young Talent Time rpt
7:30 Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation rpt
8:40pm The Graham Norton Show
9:40pm An Idiot Abroad: The Bucket List premiere
10:40pm Movie: The Interpreter rpt

Undercover Boss now premieres on February 11th.

  1. The thinking at Channel Ten (and Nine, and Seven) seems to be: ” Oooh, look, a good show, and it’s on our network – OK, let’s wreck it! We’ll move the air-time around, and so confuse the fans no-one will watch it.”

  2. Graham is fine with ads and a 10 minute push back is hardly worth crying about. Also there is this new fangled thing you can do – record tv! Shock horror!

  3. Here we go with GN being pushed back every week! How long did that take to start happening – 3 weeks???

Take it back to ABC2 – the ads are ruining it!!!

  4. @Jen13,
Graham Norton on Ten, with ads, is really bad. The ad breaks disrupt the flow of the program immensely. When the ABC screened it, the show deemed to fly by because you could immerse yourself in it. Now, it just seems to drag.

  5. So annoying that The Simpsons started late 7.35pm on Eleven and ended late 8.05pm, making me miss the start TBYG on Ten. Can’t they get their act together on their own networks?

  6. I can’t keep track of my favourite shows on 10, so have just given up!
Has anyone here been watching Graham Norton on 10?
How is it with ads and random starting times? Is it cut?
    I do miss him…..

  7. Repeating TBYG does justice to the show. It needs a boost in terms of ratings and promotions.

And yes TBL needs to 30 minutes. Loose 30 minutes of this and you’ll wonder why it worked before “project” started. MasterChef needs to condensed as well in terms of how many nights a week and length of each ep. 1hr and 30min of MasterClass is kill. 1hr is enough for a Entrée, main and dessert to be taught! The “hourly” satrts don”t always work and this proves it.

  8. Ten definately need to look at splitting the Wed/Thurs episodes and condensing TBL to 30 mins so your gen / gifted man can start at 7.30 the keep another half hour for Friday and air Glee at 730

  9. I am old enough to remember ‘the good old days’….when you could set your watch by what was on TV….I do not want to have to work for my viewing…chasing changes and delayed times etc….all too hard…..*sigh*

  10. I use to love this show when it first started but when it got shifted i stopped watching. Just lost track of it. When will networks learn that viewers do not like shows shifting around all the time. I will watch on Saturday if its not shifted before then as Shaun is a crack-up.

  11. I’d completely forgotten about it. I only stumbled upon it yesterday by chance. Though, I have to say that Amanda Keller is not a very good sport any time the BB team get “trust me”. Such a killjoy!

  12. They should have seen that coming after the silly decision to air at 8pm

Switching timeslots/days for every show on Ten is to be expected these days, apart from NCIS. Every series on the network, Glee, House, TBYG, The Good Wife, Hawaii Five-0, Modern Family, to name but a few, have aired in at least six different timeslots in the past two years

  13. Hmm maybe because it was on a 8pm, a starting time people are not used to for 1hr formats on FTA. With it crossing over other commercial networks offerings, it is bound to fail in this slot. There is no need to make TBL 1 hr at 7pm, it was always on for 30 mins back when it used to be at 7pm.

  14. I forgot Your Gen was on. I was watching My Kitchen Rules. Happy with the repeat for once as I still want to see it. Thanks for the Undercover Boss update. I still like to watch it.

  15. I think the low figures are more due to the T20 being on the other channel, and TAYG is one of those shows that you could skip once in a while. Guess we’ll know if that is true “after the cricket”

  16. That’s really disappointing it didn’t do so well with the numbers.
I really enjoy the show, it’s one of only Australian shows I look forward to watching. Shaun is an absolute treat as the host.

I hope it picks up in the numbers and Channel Ten keep it around for the future.
    Last night’s episode was great.
