Ringer update

Double episodes of Ringer are coming to ELEVEN.

Heads up Ringer fans…

Next Monday March 5 there are two episodes of Ringer, from 8:30pm on ELEVEN.

This will be Episode 12 with the charming title of “What Are You Doing Here, Ho-Bag?”

On Monday March 12 there are a further two episodes.

Supernatural is out.

  1. As it’s already been said, Supernatural doesn’t return in the US for another three weeks, hence the double Ringer episodes. They’ve done this before with double Smallville and double Being Human when SPN has been on a break in the past, this is not surprising at all.

Also I agree they need to pull their finger out and air Dollhouse, it’s a great series and they have 26 episodes / 2 seasons up their sleeve. Monday 9:30 would be a great slot for it once Ringer finishes, and by the look of these double episodes they’ll be fresh out of those sooner rather than later

  2. 7 has now abandoned the 2 hour MKR on Monday (if they actually planned to screen same) and have slotted in another ep of Revenge.

So 11’s double eps of Ringer up against it will probably result in rating figures swept under the carpet.

So Monday night is a dilemma in our home, what with Revenge, Ringer, Alcatraz, Person of Interest, Four Corners and (natch) Media Watch.

By the way, I read that TEN’s appointed a new News Director.

Why bother? Their News is beyond saving…

  3. i love ringer, unfortunately the show isn’t going to well in the us, it’s a shame really because it’s simply devine, it’s a real noir type show. Ringer and Homeland are the only shows i watch on tv anymore.

  4. the announced at the end of the last episode that supernatural will be gone for 4 weeks, if there aren’t enough ringer eps to fill that I guess they will show some movies or something.

Still waiting on Dollhouse, hint hint.

  5. Supernatural is on a break in the US until March 16 and as Eleven is completely up to date with the US, they had no choice but to show double episodes of Ringer.

  6. @Kathy – there are a couple of complaints I have against double eps. Firstly they drop the ads between them so you’re not quite sure when the 2nd one starts, not a problem if it’s a 2 part episode. But the main problem depends on the start time, but this time with Ringer starting at 8:30 that now really an issue for most. Otherwise set the PVR and just watch the 2nd one later. Lastly depending on the coding 2 eps are always going to rate less than one when averaged out. Just look at the Rafters they got better number in the 2nd week thanks to a single ep.

    Sorry for rambling on David.

  7. As of Feb 28, 2012, 15 episodes of Ringer have aired in the US. The Final episode is scheduled to go to air Tuesday, April 17 in the US, with no further breaks expected.

Revenge is on a break in the US, and will not be returning to air (in the US) until April 11, 2012. (Ep.17)

As for double episodes (of any show that goes to air) I don’t get why a lot of TV Tonight readers complain when this occurs.

Readers complain when the US shows are not ‘fast tracked’ into AU then the next, complaints come in because 2 episodes go to air. I just don’t get it.

  8. Thanks for the tip-off… adjusting recorder timer right now!

Of course, the double-eps will mean 11 will just about catch up with USA schedule, and then they’ll shelve it again.

Either way, the series ain’t earning any brownie points.

  9. steve sydney – that schedule was pulled out in January when it was found that was one new episode available to be shown at the time.

It looked Eleven is putting Ringer directly against 7’s Revenge considering both shows are about women pretending to be someone else.

  10. Wasn’t it supposed to be on Sunday at 10.50 or something? Or have those already aired?

I can’t keep up. I’m waiting for the DVD now.
