Aussie viewers will finally get to see Liam McIntyre in his debut as Spartacus when Spartacus: Vengeance launches on GO!
McIntyre took over the role after the late Andy Whitfield had to bow out from the show.
It’s good to see GO! finally adding some fresh, original content too.
Spartacus discovers the grave responsibilities and costs involved in his new role as a leader of freed slaves. Claudius Glaber’s arrival in Capua forces Spartacus to keep his rebellious band intact.
It premieres 9:30pm Monday April 23 on GO!

The censored ‘international version’ again? Not worth it. Wait for the Blu-ray. Liam McIntyre is disappointing in the role.
@Dayman : The blood and *ahem!* flesh content is certainly at a level that will please fans of that kind of content. 😉 Thankfully, they’ve also continued some decent writing and twists, too. Watch with confidence.
Anyone know how this is meant to stack up compared to previous two?
have yet to see this series but probably won’t watch it on Go as it 1. clashes with other stuff and 2. would be edited like the other 2 series.
but its on a Monday night, strange as it has always been on Wednesdays. maybe they were worried as Sons of Anarchy is on Wednesdays soon. If I were GO I would put it on a Thursday night, nothing much too interesting going on then on other channels. just Housewives, Law & Order, reality shows and thats about it. at least with Spartacus its something different. can’t see it doing all that better on a Monday of all nights. hell Tuesdays would have been better too.
@bindi The Tudors final ep is on 16th April so that will work for me too 🙂
P.S. I meant no holidays on Wednesday.
Interesting thanks for the announcement. I hope that means you know what might appear next month. Because as far as I know there are no public holidays that could potentially ruin figures. I also hope they’ll play ads announcing Fringe coming soon. Because I’ll admit if they have I’ve missed them. I did see the excellent Spartacus ones however.
I believe this season has now concluded in the US, that will stop some from viewing. But I’m looking forward to it: blood and boobs – can’t go wrong 🙂
Monday is the worst day they could have picked for me, although if revenge & Tudors are over by then it might be ok.
