  1. It is laziness. With the amount of reruns Showcase is currently running, the classification person would need to prioritise to do within the day of the sat feed. They also don’t have any preemptions to deal with given its commissioning broadcaster is AMC. It’s down to negotiating a delivery date and setting up the sat feed. If they just want to reuse the old agreement, that’s just lazy.

  2. I’m not 100% certain, but I’d imagine it’s not really a case of Networks or Foxtel being lazy..more to do with the original distribution deals made when they acquired the shows. Legally they may not be allowed to fastrack, but if viewers continue to download I’m sure distribution deals will need up the anti on fastracking in the future.

  3. To me, BB is an almost great show. It was certainly better in season one and two. And I’m no misogynist, but most of the female characters on the show are horribly written. Jesse also flip-flops his loyalty too much each season.

The Showtime website has the fifth season starting up on Sunday 29 July at 7:30pm.

Really can’t wait for this to air. Far and away the best show on television.

  5. I’m so excited for this season. Breaking Bad steps up every season – the last was amazing. Can’t wait to see how it plays out.
